3Wks Out!!!


Hello WORLD!!!

So its been a while since Ive posed on here, and there have been LOTS of reasons for that…  First, Ive been soooooo BUSY!!!  Like work and life just never end! LOL  2nd, This year as you guys ,ay have already noticed has been a super tough one as far as me getting back into “Stage Ready shape.”  I think Honestly my body was just pushed to crazy limits and I’m not really one to “take a break”  so it just caught up w me.

Earlier this year, if you watch my YouTube videos you would know, I tried to prep for a show.  FULL ON PREP!  Toughest prep Ive had to do to date.  And sure it may have seemed harder bc I wasn’t getting results but it left me kinda in limbo wondering if maybe I should just take time off or just stop competing altogether.  This is only my 2nd year in the IFBB and Im still learning everyday and haven’t even come close to accomplishing the things on my bucket list.  So I stopped making regular YouTubes and tried not to focus so much on the scale or setting a hard show date.  I have been “prepping” but only enough to see if my body could bounce back from this rut its in!

Anywayssssss  as some of you may have noticed, I decided to make changes.  I had done a lot of reading and I knew i needed a change in diet and training techniques.

So I left Bombshell and have joined a new team, D4 Muscle.  The reason I picked D4 is bc of Dan Eslinger… He is AMAZING!!!!  I email and he responds immediately.  I shared my experience from the past year w him, and He knew exactly what to do.  So I put my trust in him and when I got my first plan…. I was hesitant to say the least!!!  It was so different than anything I had ever done.  BUT I followed it!  My first week in, I saw an AMAZING CHANGE! My weight dropped and I was finally able to see my physique under all that “inflammation” I was hanging on to before!  He said lets get you on stage soon and now here we are!  Im 3wks into his plan and 3wks out from my first show in 2015.  Although theres def a lot of work still to do, I can see my body changing everyday and am MORE motivated than ever to get back on stage!!!  So August 18th IFBB Coastal USA in Georgia  HERE I COME!!!

Sweet Potato Muffins/Pancakes


So Im really annoyed right now…  iMovie has been givining me problems since I updated so I haven’t posted a YouTube video in a while…  Then yesterday I wrote up this whole thing on how delicious and Moist these contraptions are and somehow…. ITS MISSING FROM MY DRAFTS! #thestruggle  So excuse me if this post seems rather dry… LOL!!! haha

Anyway, Same Ingredients for both But they ARE DELICIOUS ANY WAY YOU MAKE THEM! =)  You can alter them to fit your macros, but below is how Ive tested them out =)



4oz cooked sweet pots!

2whole eggs OR 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg

1TB coconut flour or almond flour

1/4tsp Baking powder

Stevia (optional)

LOTS of cinnamon

about a TSP of vanilla extract

About 1/4c or less of water (Want a thick but NOT RUNNY consistency)

Toppings: SF Syrup, nut butters, jelly, Berries, PB2, or whatever your heart desires! =)

Ok so Blend everything together very well!  I like to use my single serve Ninja blender. Takes like 2 secs…..  add water if needed.  Then choose what you will be having that day!  For meal prep I like to do muffins bc its so much easier than flipping single pancakes…. it can take days!!!! ahaha Im so dramatic hehe  But when Im home I will take the time to enjoy a pancake stack!

So for muffins preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray muffin tins w nonstick cooking spray.  Bake for about 10-12 min.  You want them moist but obey gooey on the inside.

For pancakes, grease nonstick pan w cooking spray and cook like normal pancakes!




Got Motivation???


Motivation is EVERYTHING!

I would have to say the MOST important factor to prep is MOTIVATION. You can follow your plan get all the workouts in, but if you are lacking that motivation, none of your efforts will be at the 110% level that they should be at… You wont be pushing thru every workout like if you were UBER motivated… Just think back at those off days. You were probably questioning why you were doing this day in and day out, or maybe you were just feeling “blah.” LOL We all have those days BUT the key to success In the fitness world is to BE MOTIVATED AND STAY MOTIVATED! Last year I competed quite a bit… I was basically on prep non stop from January until my last show in August. Keeping that intensity up for so long can be TOUGH to say the least! So I put together a few tips on what I do to keep me going and keep me PUSHING 110% EVERYDAY! Feel free to add your own little tips as well!!

  • Set a show plan at the begiing of the year! Write it down in a journal or even stick it on the wall in front of your treadmill!
  • Write down your goals at the beginning of the year. This way when you start questioning yourself, you can just go back and look at your thoughts!
  • Find a Show buddy!!!! This is sooooo important. Find someone who will do the same shows w you, room with you and help motivate you when ur down. This way you can keep each other in check!
  • Use social media as a tool to push forward. Seeing other Competitors get up on stage or totally KILL their workouts is EXTREMELY motivating.
  • Surround yourself with people (family and friends) that will SUPPORT you! Cut out the negative ppl. If they’re being unsupportive or negative its because they’re jealous that they don’t have the self discipline to do what you are doing.
  • Schedule time for your family and friends!!!! Competing can be very isolating and making time for family and friends is soooo important! I like to plan trips/small getaways w my husbdand after my shows! But even just one weekend off from prep after a show where you’re not just talking about how hungry or tired you are can really help keep you sane =)
  • TAKE YOUR CHEATS!!!! If you have cheat meals still on your plan, DON’T SKIP THEM!!!!! You will totally regret it!

How to get past those Post Show Blues!



So as the competition season starts to draw a close, most of us are already on or nearing our “improvement season” Let me tell you that no matter how long you’ve been competing this time of year will ALWAYS plays tricks in ur head. Seeing ur body at a near perfect state while in prep and then all of suddenly losing that can really play tricks in ur mind!



How do You get over this??? YES I have these feelings… The fear of not being SUPER tight every morning or losing my abs… It’s mind over everything at this point. Don’t let yourself become engulfed in these feelings and let them take over you so much that you fall into some sort of food coma and give up altogether. KNOW that this time is NECESSARY!!! We need this time to GROW and IMPROVE!!! So embrace it. LOVE it and LIFT HEAVY A** weights!!! You’ll come back better and stronger the next year.


I know I wrote this and you guys are like oh whatever, its not that easy. YES IT IS! Know that these feelings are just feelings. Stay strong and get passed the negativity! Use the extra time you have from not doing double cardios and spending your day showering and sweating and focus all that energy into something positive! Whether its spending more time w your family or working on your career! This is what I like to do to keep me distracted and not sit around moping and feeling sorry for myself bc my shredded abs disappeared, I like to focus on social media and my blog! It helps me stay positive and MOTIVATED!
